I knew this day would come.
Silky called him out 2 years ago and gave a lot away on Gravy. Slim hates him because:
He extorted Whitney and kept the money.

IIRC Silky said Gary the Bigot was going around saying that Silky was working with COINTELPRO. So Gary saying Silky works with the government was probably a reference to that.
In Silky’s world I believe he had no other choice but to hit Gary the Bigot for what he said.

Gravy is not about the movement. Slim knows that. Slim probably told him to step down. Gravy had to show off in front of his minions and called Slim's bluff. Did not work. Like I said, Slim is at least authentic.
