As a voter, you choose the candidate who best represents what you want from your president, senator, congressman, governor, city councilman, county commissioner, mayor, etc. If I agreed with 20% of the Trump platform and 50% of the Biden platform, why the frick would I vote for Trump? Why would you vote for Biden?
Unless you're in 100% lockstep with a party (and no one should be), the party you voted for will always do something you disagree with. And it's OK to admit you disagree with your party, too. There are no "purity tests" and never should be (despite what Trump wants).

Have they published any reports of all these threats for the public to see? If schools were really being threatened, we would see reports of it all over the media, who would love to report on specifics.

This is what happens when you give them an unchallenged "test balloon". They've used the media to push protests (violent or not) as "insurrection". An insurrection is when you have traitors waiting at the airports and detaining opposing members of Congress so they can't return to DC, lay siege to Camp David so the President is stuck there, and only let SCOTUS access to judges who you agree with.
Err...the left is openly breaking laws (AZ's law against cell phone recording in bathrooms) against the moderate Sen Sinema, trespassing onto private land via kayak (Manchin), spoke openly about blowing up the White House (1/21/17), and of course the Kavanaugh hearing/vulgarity during the ACB process.

People are just now waking up to the fact the entire machinery of the federal government has been mobilized against them starting with the Clinton administration. It really accelerated during the Obama years. They are now just emboldened to the fact they think they can openly act without any pushback.

It’s bullshite though if people disown key issues without explaining how they relate to positions on other similar platform items, how they prioritize other issues enough to overlook the disowned issue, etc. And that tactic happens all the time, especially with the left.
