Has anybody on here had this done? Were you pleased with the results? What can I expect it to cost?

The kits you can buy from home depot or lowes are garbage, and won't last.

I did a 3 layer job on my own garage using epoxy, vinyl, and polyurea. Expect that materials alone for a 2 car garage will run you $500

I had it done about 10 years ago on a pretty good-sized three-car garage and it cost $1200. Money well spent, the crew was very meticulous and did a great job- it still looks great a decade later. One piece advice, go moderate-to-heavy on the chips- I went light and some dirt still shows easily.

Disagree. I did mine 5 years ago and it still looked great when I sold my house.

Surface prep is everything. You are only as good as what you are bonding to.

Clean and etch the surface first. Sherwin Williams Armorseal 1000 is a two part epoxy coating that will hold up to foot traffic, tires, and is grease and oil resistant. Sells for around $200/ kit. There is also a product called Shieldcrete by SW that is very durable and is 30% off until July 6.

I know of companies and guys that do it on the side (firefighters).

If you just want to turn your concrete gray, then yes the home store kits are fine.

If you want a glossy, durable, stain proof and chemical resistant floor there is absolutely no comparison to what I posted. The box kits come with 16oz of vinyl flake. My garage has 80 POUNDS, lol.

I'm wondering if I can get a deal, since the house will be brand new, and there will be no grease stains, etc, to clean up.

That will make the prep work easier, and therefore cheaper.... Make sure they do a "broom" finish and not the shiny stuff often in garages. The shiny stuff has to be ground down. If it's broom finished and clean, the epoxy can be put on after a quick pressure wash.

I'll see if I can get some contact info for yall. The chemicals must be applied in <80% humidity, so june-Aug is the worst time to do it down here. I know you can expect to pay $2.50-$4 per square foot.

I considered the floor epoxy but I didn't want to take everything out of my garage and put in a Pod for 2 weeks while I did the work and while it cured, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I went this route: Swisstraxx

Yes more expensive but it's idiot proof.

I did mine about 7-8 years ago using the home depot product and it still looks good. I did apply it very heavy though.

garage floor mats are also a cheaper alternative to consider if you are mainly worried about area under vehicles.

Ditto. Mine looks as good today as when I put it down. I didn't use flakes though.
