He wasn't really, not if you actually listened to what he said.

He was fairly normal, probably part of what makes it so shocking, he wasn't Trump or someone.

I feel like saying there's division almost sounds like we're disagreeing on some trivial things.

This isn't really just division, a portion of the country has went absolutely insane and intent on destroying everything this country was founded on.

I understand. I wanted to get into the Bible for answers this morning, but chose anger.

I wasn’t even a Charlie Kirk fan. Just mad as all hell about a father being savagely murdered in front of his family and 3k+ spectators who shared it to social media. I keep seeing these videos of his little girl running into his arms and it just makes me mad as a father. Knowing she’ll never do that again.

Still choosing anger against better advice.

I'm a little light switched. I'm still me who likes football and drumming, etc.

But I'm feeling a little unapologetic, military head on swivel now. I want...to beat this evil that's swarmed out country. It's here. Not just "you're fighting a few weirdos online." The "few weirdos" are legit almost half the people I've known who celebrate this shite. They're fricking scum and want us dead.

We have babies and a country to protect and preserve. The 2016 youtube street interview with antifa days are over. Those frickers are killing at will.

Im going to use Saturday as a respite from the cruelties of the world. Football, family, fun, food, then go to sleep. Wake up Sunday and focus on my faith and finances. I'll get back to the cruel world on Monday.

I get the argument, but people felt like they knew Charlie. He could have been our neighbor, co-worker, pastor, or even ourselves. That's why it hurts so much. It's becoming obvious that you can't be a Christian in this country anymore and be safe. You can't have certain opinions. Probably worst of all is what we'll have to do to gain back our safety. We really don't want to do what we think we're going to have to do.

At least that's my take on it.

But is it really? Or is it social media giving a megaphone to the sliver of crazies that have always existed?

Maybe it's just me, but I've never seen a transgender IRL. A relative is superintendent of schools in a Louisiana parish and in the 30+ years he's been in the system he's never encountered one either. But we're supposed to be so overrun with them that they're a clear and present danger.

From Reagan to Bush to Clinton to Bush again to Obama to Trump to Biden to Trump again, my life hasn't changed much, despite the usual suspects warning that one side or the other wanted to destroy my way of life.

The extremes rail against RINOs and DINOS. I've seen the fringe and where they want to take us. Give me the much maligned middle.

I don't think trans people themselves are the issue, that's a very small part of the population.

The problem is all of the people in this country that will look at a normal, good guy like Charlie Kirk and denounce him as a racist, misogynist, hatemonger, etc.

And then publicly celebrate his death.

If 9/11 happened today, half the country would probably celebrate it.

It's pretty wild to say that average day to day life hasn't changed much from the 1980's until now.

Life has changed massively in just the last 10 years or so.

You honestly think people aren't bothered when children get shot in a school?

Democrats are truly a special breed.

Yes it does feel different. I may be wrong but my gut just tells me we have reached a point where the Right will start responding to the lunatic fringe. This assassination has really effected people like nothing has in a long time.

Social media is poison slowly making you believe many of the people around you are monsters.

It's thousands of posts. Download X, make an account and just look at the Libs of Tik Tok Account. She has shown thousands of posts from teachers, lawyers, nurses and doctors that are celebrating this. This isnt some loud minority... there was a post celebrating it that had 400,000 likes on it.

I think it’s a coping skill. Kids are random. You haven’t seen YouTube videos of kids. Or the video of them dying (thank god). You can only relate kids to your own, if you have them. That is a DARK road. Too dark to stay on for most IMO. Certainly too much for me.
