Right, but when the races are reversed, the presumption is one of a hate crime. I think it should be evenly applied in cases like this. The law has already moved away from requiring any evidence. We've started down this ridiculous path, I say we go all the way.

If a white guy was robbing a black guy then killed him it wouldn't be considered a hate crime and those who would claim it to be are idiots.

Just because you believe the media generalizes every white on black crime as a "hate crime," there's still pretty definitive criteria to determine if it actually is a hate crime.
This appears to be a random act of violence. I'd imagine any person no matter the race or color, would have been attacked had they crossed this particular path that morning.
It's as much of a hate crime as it would be for a hungry lion to attack a lone pedestrian out taking a jungle stroll.
This world is an evil place. Why can't people just be crazy killers without a racial motive?

pretty sure his point is that when a white person commits a crime against a black person it is brought to light that it is probably racially motivated....but when blacks commit crimes against white people it is rarely thought to be racially motivated...double standard.

The frick does this have to do with a psycho 16 year old robbing and killing a young man out walking in a dangerous time of morning?
So you're basically saying 2 wrongs make a right? Since there's been millions of high profile crimes over the years and a few get misdiagnosed, well frick it, everything's a hate crime now.

People want to talk about the gun culture problem America faces. We don't have a gun culture problem; we have a black culture problem.
13% of the population are committing 65% of all violent crimes. Think about that! If you removed all gun crimes perpetrated by black people from the statistics, the US would have a lower crime rate than Belgium. That astounds me.
