I used one of these a couple of years back and thought it was pretty intuitive.

Those are probably the same people that get to the drive-thru mic and take 5 minutes to decide even though they know what's on the damn menu.

Have you seen the net loss mcdonalds has had this past quarter due to rising prices? They're the same price as chic fi la for god sakes.

They're hemorrhaging money. Implementing this will cut costs and they'll get their core clientele back: 1 dollar mcdoubles.

Same reason why self checkout at the grocery store pisses me so much

It’s like people pumping gas as well.

No one understands being efficient. People have lost all sense of moving your arse when you do something that affects someone’s else’s time.

If the self check outs were brand new, i would understand, but they have been around for some years now so everyone should understand how to efficiently use them.

Driving back to Houston Sunday I got behind a large (fat) dude when we stopped off I-10. Only one kiosk was working so I was stuck waiting in line. He took a solid 7-8 minutes to order. I don't think it was because he did not know how to use it. He was skipping from screen to screen and at one point was staring out the window daydreaming or something. He finally ordered his Big Mac, Filet-O-Fish, Large Fries, Large Drink and Apple Pie.

How do know what he ordered? I must of saw his order 5 times when he was flipping through the screens.

I usually use an app to order ahead at any fast food place I go to. Chick-Fil-A and McDonalds apps are some of the best. Plus there are deals all the time with McDonald's. A few weeks back I took my boys to one and we were going inside, so I didn't order ahead. We were driving and it was last minute, so we went in to eat. They loved the big kiosk. Point to what they want, all the different options etc. Real easy to take off pickles or onions, or switch from a 4 piece to a 6 piece Happy Meal. Of course this was around 3PM on a Saturday, so not very crowded. I could see it being a pain if it was lunch rush and everyone in there had to order on one. You were still able to walk to the counter to order, but there was one person already ordering ahead of us so I used the Kiosk.

That gets on my nerves more than the kiosks. I'll order from my desk, walk to the car and pull to the drive thru and always get behind someone either ordering for a whole minivan full of kids, or someone saying they need a minute and trying to figure out what they want. Its all burgers, nuggets, and chicken sandwiches. Pick one of those and what size you want. Kids get a normal burger, teens or adults get a double, a quarter pounder, or a Big Mac.

I don’t give a shite about this. I like to be in and out and get deals whenever I go to a place like that.

So true. This is a major reason why air travel is so damn annoying.

Honestly, I don't eat at McD's enough to justify having their app on my phone.

My kids still absolutely love McD’s and points pile up fast with the app, 5000 points gets you a happy meal.

If Karen wasn’t so committed to inflicting her post menopausal rage on society this would never have happened. Of course the kiosk slows her down. How can she get someone fired or complain to a manager when she is the one in charge? She can’t tie up the line arguing with a confused teen about her coupons. It’s a damn shame but Karen’s insatiable need to cause economic damage wherever she goes has led us to the self service checkout utopia. Enjoy. Thanks Karen.

The average adult reads on a 7th grade level. It will indeed be a shite show. Avoid masses of people.

If this is true, then think of all the adults reading at a 14th grade level who are averaging out all those adults who read a a 0 or 1 grade level. We got some idoits out there.

This country is filled with fat, lazy, and generally stupid people. This would be an absolute failure.
