Carport that leads to a garage in the back is the way to go. A garage in view is trashy.

I'm from Selma so the carport is full of the old den furniture where we sit all day playing gangsta rap, hustling an drinking. My Ma gotta cash braid business she run in the carport and all 6 of the Dodge's are in the front yard. Respek my culture.

Private parking lot (and boat dock) at my Oregon residence, 2 car garage/carport that could park 3 other cars outside of the garage at my Louisiana residence.

We have two side facing garage spaces that lead to a full basement. Going to put in a circle drive out front in a few years when we go to three vehicles. Not enough space to park the third outside and have room for two female drivers to back out without hitting something.
