They don't deal with many high risk days, and the SPC don't issue many. There's legit reason for concern.

Nick smego on live storm chasing has a good view of the peoria storm. (just south of the city. shite looks nasty

Hopefully the Little Rock storm will scare some people into being cautious

Folks south of Little Rock will eventually have to worry about the severe warned storm currently North of Texarkana. It is moving into a more favorable environment.

Peoria storm is wrecking shite whether it ever has a tor or not. 2"+ hail and 70mph wind. Hail core is getting wrapped into the circulation.

Really interesting image on Des Moines radar. You can see the cold front on reflectivity that’s causing all the cells in Iowa and Missouri to fire. You can faintly see it on Kansas City radar too.
