Also, if you self pace by 2-3 seconds, you also don’t need to come to a stop!

In driving school they teach defensive driving which is basically a safety first approach. For that reason I always stop even though I know I don’t have to. If you’re in such a hurry that you can’t be safe try to wake up earlier.

But some of these idiots that we are talking about don't realize this. They stop at the flashing red, assume that the cross street also has a flashing red for 4 way stop, then proceed roll through the intersection causing the people going through the yellow light to slam on their breaks. For this reason, I'm still cautious.

Those "No Thru Traffic" signs at gas stations/grocery stores/etc trying to prevent people from cutting through the lot to get to another street are meaningless and unenforceable. You can cut through all you damn well please.
