Just drove a bit. If there's sun on it, it's fine. Drying out and safe. In the shade, it's still white and frozen.

Bingo. Airline? Fine. Mostly. Airline under I-12? Isaac Newton's taking over, so point and pray.

Getting through your tree-lined neighborhood streets or crossing lots of bridges? Hope your insurance is paid up or you really do know how to drive on ice.

I do have to say, though, that the drive was pleasant today. Baton Rouge's usual dumbasses (Except me. I was there.) are off the road. Everyone was just tooling down the road at 20-30 mph, even Airline, and making no abrupt movements and were speeding up and slowing down smoothly and in plenty of time.

It was downright enjoyable. At 30 mph, I still made my drive 4 minutes faster than normal.

That's my problem. There's still plenty of ice on the main street in our neighborhood due to the shade from the trees

Right but LSU doesn't really care about that. I'm not saying it would be a good decision, but I expect them to make the bad decision every time.

They did show some hope yesterday canceling class and making people not walk up the PMAC ramp

I hope we are open. I’m loosing my damn mind sitting around the house, and I don’t want to make up these days.

It is my understanding that there are 5 days built into the calendar in the event of school cancellations (usually for storms or floods).
