I live close to Pius. We still have ice in our back yard. Haven't gotten on the roads to see how they are though.

Second semester schedule is different. Your school district will take advantage of the fact that they don’t have to make them up. No one is going to want to make them up during Mardi Gras, spring break, or after Memorial Day. If you get out super early in May, then yes, they may add them back then.

Just got an alert from WBRZ that said stare offices across the capital area would remain closed Thursday. I opened the link and it was the general closure article which hadn’t actually been updated. But it looks like I’m paying you to stay home again tomorrow.

I saw the governor on channel 2 this afternoon saying that everyone should stay off the roads for another 24 hours. Maybe that means to stay home tomorrow.

Go to DOA website. Multiple state agencies closed tomorrow including EBR.

Bulletin 741 stipulates the number of instructional minutes students must have each year to earn credits. Most schools have extra time built in for cases like this. If they are not going to meet their instructional time, according to bulletin 741, they will typically add minutes on to each day.

Only high school credits. It is about 3750 mins per 1/2 credits. It is about 12 weeks with 7 classes, 15 with 8 classes. K-8 has to be in for 63000 minutes. BESE can waive requirements with a declaration. Most districts have 4 days over the 63000 minutes.

Not sure what district will do, add a day, take out the 1/2 or pd days, or add minutes. It would take adding about 4 mins per day made up at this point.

If anyone is concerned about Memphis the Diocese schools are closed again. That makes a smooth week that have missed.

I'm sure the public schools are probably closed too.
