Who is your cable/internet provider? Spectrum used to be Time Warner Cable (and others likely) and rebranded a while back.

A google search tells me that’s an Internet company,
You had to Google to find that out?

Spectrum is a cable internet and cell phone service provider. Used to be called charter, or brighthouse, or Time Warner Cable, aka the 3 legacy companies that merged to become spectrum.

Jody got the number from your wife. In between railing her while you work, they have a family package at Spectrum.

Good thing about CC's. That shite is nullified immediately.
This is why I never use my debit card for anything other than withdrawing cash at my bank. Everything else, including cell phone, electric, water, insurance, etc. gets autobilled to my CC. That also gives me about $1,000/year in cash back.

I say this over and over. Stop using debit cards for anything but withdrawing cash. You’re giving a thief access to you bank account. Use a credit card so you have recourse immediately and it’s someone else’s money.

Some cock sucker in China bought John Maddens XBox game on my Apple Card.
Apple removed it and I had to pay nothing.
Debit cards supposedly give you the same protection.

Was it wrong for me to use your CC number so I wouldn't miss out on TD's this weekend?

You sure that isn't someone paying a weekly installment for TD Premium(tm)?
That's a monthly charge

What should I do? Obviously I’ll call the bank first thing Monday. I should get the $168 back right?

You guys do not understand how fraud protection on any card with a Visa/MC/AMEX logo works. The card brands (Visa, etc.) dictate what fraud controls have to be in place for a bank to put the logo on *any* card, whether it is debit or credit. Visa alone has a 900+ page document that dictates what a bank issuing anything with their logo on it must do or comply to, including fraud liability in card present and card not present transactions.
However, your bank may be a bunch of crapheads. Some may take your dispute, and issue you a credit for the dispute amount until they complete their investigation, like mine did. Others will F with you and cause you to overdraw your account over missing money, but that's on the bank, not on whether it is a debit or credit card.
As long as you report it within the time frame required, that is. If your bank Fs with you, file a complaint with the card brand about your bank, and change banks.

Apparently you're on the Spectrum now. Most people get on it free from birth. It does cost to get on it as an adult. Slainte!

Yes it’s a Visa debit card, no number on the back
My Visa debit/credit card has two numbers on the back. Yours should, too.

You can usually go online to report it and freeze your card, but you won’t be able to use it either. It could also be an error. Once I hit a wrong number entering a paying online and it got worked out.

fraud on debit card is your problem. Fraud on credit card is their problem. For this reason my wife and I switched to credit card only purchases.
You need to kill that card quickly or someone will keep hitting it.

First, freeze the card. Have a new card sent. When the fraudulent charge posts, file a claim.
