When you think about it she basically got 1.5 Million to stay in her house for 3 years.

This is completely fricked up and highlights the ridiculous sentencing laws in this state and nationwide
Had she been caught with an appreciable amount of drugs, she likely would have faced prison time. Ruin your employer's life and enrich yourself, get a slap on the wrist.

Somebody earlier in the thread nailed it. Just because she didn’t use a gun doesn’t make it any less of a crime in many respects.

Yep...
I wonder if that ruling can be appealed?

Well, to say she ruined Ron Franco's life isn't entirely accurate. Judging by his house and cars parked there, he's still doing okay. But this sentence is bullshite.

How could she steal over 1 million and the place still bring in that much money

Damn, she's living in the golden age of house arrest with internet speeds and the amount of content out there with cable, Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. Get a job that involves a lot of interaction with people during the day and you could probably avoid the cabin fever. Get some gym equipment for the house, learn to play guitar, have friends over for cook outs, etc... That may be worth netting $750K to be honest. Is she allowed to drink?

She was a long time employee. I think she worked there 17 years. I'm sure Franco trusted her.
She was stealing in a variety of ways. Under reporting cash transactions, credit card fraud, stealing membership fees. It went on for at least 8 years.

And she can go to work, doctor and church without restrictions.

That’s 200k a year. How do you not know someone is stealing $16k a month from you for 8 years? You’ve got to be completely ignoring the business or you’re making so much money it’s not substantial.

He obviously wasn't paying close attention to the books. He was first made aware there might be a problem when his banker called to inquire about a drop off in cash deposits.
There were two women stealing from him. I'm sure it started small and grew when they thought they'd never get caught.
