The big boys use StormGeo. Those guys know their shite and have access to a lot of data analytics that work in tandem with modeling like the Euro and GFS.

I don't think he's being hysterical.
There's a lot of unknowns but someone on the LA coast is probably going to be dealing with a named storm of some kind in 3 or so days.
So much talk of how this season has been a "bust"... the mets might need to scream a bit to get everyone's attention.
