Do you have REV(Eatel) on Swamp Rd? Buried fiber lines mean they don’t go down. You just need a generator to power the router.
We do. My husband is super resistant to switching because he’s “used to” Cox (that doesn’t sound right). Can a house have two different service providers? I’m not above getting my own shite. Cox goes out frequently, which is a problem since I work remotely.

I mean, the 48 hr cone is the entire coastline of Louisiana. And it hit to the outside extreme east. So that’s not really a huge win.

that shite, for where they were in relation to the storm, is impressive, IMO
As bad as it was, downtown had pretty much no damage. There were a few limbs that broke, but not many power pole issues. They did have a few that were leaning.
Heck the pole that feeds HTV’s studios has been leaning since Ida but luckily it stayed up.
My car was pretty much sand blasted by leaves.

In Houma? What part?
I’m off 311 near savane. Rumors are it’ll be restored tonight. Fingers crossed!

Everyone should know that if your inside the cone within 48 hours that there’s a good possibility that you will get some kind of impact

bruh, if Houma, which got the fricking eye of this thing, gets power before us in Prairieville/Geismar, i swear to god...
Much of the infrastructure damaged during Ida was updated/hardened during those rebuilds. It makes sense that those areas would be restored more quickly than their older infrastructure.

Yes. We have ATT fiber but, even though the line is “buried” you can still see it sticking out of the ground in some spots. We’ve ordered Starlink as a backup and will have both available at any time.

My dad is in Bayou Black also. My grandparents are further down in Gibson by the Williams plant and I don't think anything down there is lit either.
SLECAs report earlier on HTV was that they were waiting for their subs to be energized from Entergy.

Go home, Francine. You're drunk.
If Francine turned into a human, I imagine she would have looked like this:
