That's what I'm seeing. Every 5 or so minutes we get a nice burst.

Thanks for that YouTube link to the WDSU live feed of the idiot driving his pickup into waaaaaay too deep water at the Canal Blvd. underpass under the railroad "back belt"--going around the cop and the barricade by driving on the wrong side of the street. To see it, rewind however far you need to go from the live feed in your link to about 8:39 p.m.

Here's a screen-capture of the truck and the reporter, with the water getting close to the top of the hood:

And here's what that spot on a normal day for comparison:

Darwin has been slacking off while the rain has not.

Hearing from some baws that Shell Norco is flooded
Just heard on the scanner there's about a foot of water on River Rd and Apple St.

EDIT: they said Apple Street just past the train tracks so that's closer to Airline than River Rd but those tracks run through the Shell Norco Refinery.

Just texted with some of my homeboys and so far so good. All have power, so far, but one did say some streets are starting to flood, including Judge Perez in Arabi

I'm in Bucktown and wasn't paying attention and I looked out my front door and the water is up to my porch.. The worst I have ever seen this and I have been here 16 years..
