Maybe they were blocked by other structures for Ida. Wind direction is opposite than for Ida in Houma. Unless it was a quick spin up weak tornado.

If you look at the radar, anyone from west of Baton Rouge to Mandeville is going to be to claim the "eyewall on top of me", so Lafayette to Slidell isn't too bad.

Hell, it is shrinking. It was 82 miles wide a couple hours or so ago give or take.
