Would suspect if this thing has any wind there's going to be a lot of uprooted trees with how soggy it is on the ground from the past week straight of rain.

My instinct, after the past five to seven years, is to lean into the hurricane model solutions.

Even if this isnt the typical cane models stronger situation. How long does this really take to organize? It doesnt have a ton of time, even with good conditions on the coastal approach.

Usually it’s the HWRF and HMON are the aggressive models. But the HMON is showing a TS and the HWRF isn’t showing much.

Wouldn’t the hurricane models struggle right now though due to no defined CoC yet

Why? It rained almost a week straight where I live several days it was nonstop. I can't imagine that's good for a tropical system like this that has any kind of sway with their wind field.

I'm trying to cut my grass now before this comes but I can't in the low points which takes a boatload of rain to do that in my yard.

This was the case for Gustav in BR. Long term power outages from so many toppled trees due to the soggy ground.

HMON and HWRF still struggling with this

Very interesting. The hurricane models are much slower to combine the vort maxes and conslidate things closer to the coast. I would kind of favor the slower consolidation but the general rule of thumb is to give less weight to the hurricane models until a center forms.
