I feel like a big weather conspiracy guy now. This hurricane is not a Cat 2, it has been heading toward Houma for a while and they refuse to get off their failed model, and the thing is deteriorating so fast it is basically a strong thunderstorm at this point.

We wouldn't have even noticed this when Reagan was in office.

And I know you NWS guys use a darker red for thunderstorms than you use to.

The upgrade from cat 1 to cat 2 is like telling a girl you're 6'0 when you're actually 5'11 barefoot. Yeah it's an upgrade but once it gets to your house it doesn't really change anything

Entergy is showing very little out in BR. Gonna be luck of the draw.

Here in Mathews. Definitely getting the worst of the day thus far. Pretty solid winds and gusts.

Depends on the statistician

Francine will make landfall 70 miles from where the original cone was after the center formed 60 hours ago. That's not close to a statistical miss.

This was a tough one... That dry air and a front moving down.

I'll just let this one slide as I don't want to start another argument and lose power while I'm trying to own some stranger on the internet.

The NHC is ole faithful they aren’t going to change a track just because a set of models shows something different. They do their due diligence and gradually make adjustments. Instead of some meteorologist that will show doomsday models every run. Plain and simple the NHC is the best in the business.
