Are people inland that are calling this a nothing burger and a dud aware that the storm hasn't actually reached them yet?

Before the 4:00 update my house was east of the center line in the cone, now I'm out of the cone altogether on the west side. Mattered to me!

Are you under the impression that it will only rain and be windy within the computer generated lines superimposed on a map?

Sure, it can be significant, but if 12 miles is the difference between how you'll prep, you deserve whatever you ge

Agree but damn near every model was closer to houma than morgan city and they havent really budged since 4pm yesterday

Doesnt really matter for prep but just odd to me on their rationale for that

Went from crossing I-10 in BR around highland exit to east of Gonzales near Sorrento. That's pretty significant but inline with what the model had been showing for a while now.

so basically i went from the east side to the west side of the storm... nice

Feels like experts expected this to veer more towards the east than it was going to be. It should straighten out north tonight.

Vermilion Parish escaped this one. It has been nothing on the West side of this thing.

Speaking of preparedness… there is a party barge loose on Belle River across from the Mosquito Bar (per their Facebook)

One floating party barge is pretty impressive for that area.
