If the eye is as big as it is, does a 12 mile shift really matter?

Before the 4:00 update my house was east of the center line in the cone, now I'm out of the cone altogether on the west side. Mattered to me!

And I think they still have the track too far west....

Went from crossing I-10 in BR around highland exit to east of Gonzales near Sorrento. That's pretty significant but inline with what the model had been showing for a while now.

I was talking about it not making a major turn east, which it would have to make to go through New Orleans.

It's 100mph and it was projected to be 90-100mph around landfall for 48 hours man. Jesus Christ some of you are fricking imbeciles.

It is absolutely amazing.

I'm impressed Cantore pronounces Lafayette correctly. Even better than most people from NOLA.

Such as saying steady state or weaken slightly then oops my bad you got a Cat 2 on your doorstep.

It was a dubious upgrade anyways based on potential. 100 mph sustained winds won't happen over land. It catches attention because of the category change.

people see cat 1 vs cat 2 (EVEN THOUGH IT WAS FORECASTED TO STRADDLE THIS LINE THE WHOLE TIME) and panic/overreact when it gets to 2 like this

Speaking of preparedness… there is a party barge loose on Belle River across from the Mosquito Bar (per their Facebook)

NHC has performed like it's supposed to. People are informed and ready, or they should be ready.

Yes, for some it matters. If they eyey was passing 20 miles east of you it will now be passing 32 miles east of you. That could be significant.

Sure, it can be significant, but if 12 miles is the difference between how you'll prep, you deserve whatever you get.
