Ehh, looking at the hrrr... if you wait til noon you'll be in some nasty rain most of the way. Wind may not blow you off the road, but that's not a drive I'd want to make. I'd leave asap.

In Lake Charles I noticed a ton of flocks of birds, seem to mostly be seagulls, heading North this morning. Guess they are getting out of Cameron ahead of anything.

The FishWeather app shows the bouy data better than NDBC. Garden Banks 426 is steady 71mph and gust mid 80s currently.

Imagine you were looking at one factor where you could say, "yes, if CAPE goes up right here, we need to be concerned about tornados in this area."
But there are other factors too. Some are more important than others.
I believe CWASP is an attempt to take all of those parameters (historically), weight them in a computer algorithm, and predict the likelihood of an EF2+ tornado.
It's sort of like a BCS rankings formula, where it takes all sorts of data and spits out one number — maybe it will be good, maybe not. It's just currently a test.
