They are always the very last ones to change a projected track.

For whatever reason, all of my typical sources haven’t provided an updated track overnight and into this morning. Is the center line tracking closer to NO now compared to yesterday when it was tracking closer to BR?

A hurricane doesn’t go in a straight line. It has wobbles. It will continue to wobble east and west. It’s right on the NHC track

Not saying they are wrong but I wouldn't bet on that. This thing has been slowly shifting east a little with ever track, why would that change? Especially with the shear and now that it appears that dry air is being pumped in from Texas. This thing will try to hold together and the only way that can happen is find conditions suitable for that and that is to the east. So myself I expect when all is said and done the track will be over grand isle lower jefferson and to the Mississippi coast. Just a wild guess.

I have waited to pick up patio furniture in Hammond. Someone just tell me, do I need to start picking shite up or not?

That’s fine and dandy. You’re missing my point. We have posters all of a sudden saying “New Orleans is getting slammed” and no one was saying that previously. That’s what I woke up to. The first posts. So obviously it would seem something had changed over night.
Has it? Or has it not? Is New Orleans getting “slammed” or were those posters full of shite?

The proper coonass sees that pile of leaves and cracks a beer and waits anxiously to see it get blown all over the place and become not his problem anymore.
I know right? Not like the yard isn’t going to covered in leaves in about 12 hrs anyways.
I swear people are stupid.

Just read the first post on the first page every 4 hours. That's the best information you're going to get.

Absolutely not true. The previous two pages are saying a direct hit of New Orleans and it getting “slammed”. I didn’t see that previously.
Bunchie, whatever New Orleans gets is the same as what it was getting yesterday morning.

Yes, put anything that can be a projectile in the garage now

Picking up your shite depends on whether you like or hate your neighbors.

Who knew Mother Nature had it out for Oak Grove Primary school, sheesh
My house is about 1.5 miles from the line due east lol

dude, hurricanes haven’t evolved yet to search out their own warm water and low shear environments. You make it sound like they’re sentient beings trying to look out for their own survival.
This would actually be a good plot to a low budget USA Network disaster movie. Sentient hurricanes.

Just dropping in to wish everyone the best today who is in the path of the storm. Stay safe. My thoughts are with y'all.

Should I crack a beer open or wait a couple of hours

get this, but Michael was a 1 in 100 storm. Storms historically just don't strengthen that fast and that close to landfall like ever. As far as I know this is the only time this has happened that anyone can remember.
This storm is not anywhere near Michael strength wise, but their encounter with shear is. The forecasters said that shear would weaken Michael, but it never did.
Intensity forecasting is not as good as track, so I am saying don't let your guard down.

Wow man, prayers that the tiny block-sized track line ends up east of you so you can be on the west side.
