Just to break up the hurricane party with some pretty crazy wildfire news.

If they didn’t do Potential Tropical Cyclone advisories now they’d be way better than the standard error for this one. I don’t even like NHC and people got me defending them.

We had people yesterday or Sunday evening arguing that the NHC forecast was done for ratings and clicks.

True story,

I dated Jay Grymes's niece for 3 years (almost married her) and that's when I figured out the Jay Grymes Scale for Hurricane Intensity (JGSHI)... both he and his wife are absolutely awesome people, and yes, he does have a lot of jeans (both black and blue)

Jay used to ride motorcycles and even had a ponytail at one point... Harley baw through and through.. if he's in jeans, then he's sleeping at the station.. if slacks, then he's sleeping at home... the higher the sleeves, the harder he's working... I wish I could find the JGSHI to post it... I know someone will help us out

Are you on track to make it home??

Yes I rearranged my flights and should be fine and making it home to the fam in a few hours in time to buckle down the furniture, etc…. Thankfully my wife loaded us up with toilet paper and canned goods already.

Appreciate all the help and knowledge as always. These threads help me vent my PTSD so I can function in real life.

I just drove from Ponchatoula to Jackson, MS. Has anything changed since 4? Or is it still going to come through BR or just East of Br?

Appreciate the experts in this thread. Best place for info anywhere.

1/2 glass water mixed with 1/2 glass milk. I’m trying to make the milk last longer.

That's a double edged sword. Wet Winter/Spring means lots of growing and greening which means when it eventually turns dry there would be a pretty good fuel load. It isn't their worst season, but it has been worse than last year. They've had a busy past few days.
