Yup. This is trending toward a very underwhelming storm.

Go to weather.gov and enter your zip code to get official forecast winds.

Peak gusts of 60 and about 7" of rain throughout the day now. Mid City.

There has been a degree of doom porn because it has been awhile, but, yeah, I'm calling it now - "Francine is a quality opponent and we will not disrespect her. Having said that, I think we will move the ball well, control the clock and pace of the game, as long as we take care of the things we can control, we will win and win decisively."

For BR Metro folks, the new center of cone track is a line from St. Gabriel to Denham Springs.

Roughly Highland Lakes to Old Jefferson to Shenandoah to downtown Denham Springs.

So just west of Prairieville? We went there in '21 for Ida. To Fellowship Church. Really good people there.

How to find NWS forecasted winds for your location. Texas pics because I made this for the Beryl thread. And because TD is based in Houston (not the real reason).

@OTR444

Tropical Storm Francine could impact up to 5.8 mbpd of refining capacity along the U.S. Gulf Coast this week. Producers have shut in 0.4 mbpd of crude output in anticipation of the storm.

To be honest, I haven't found their wind forecasts during tropical storms to be super-accurate in the past. They tend to under-estimate the wind. So I really wouldn't rely too much on that.

And then you can follow it closely until you realize that wind forecasting generally sucks.

2020 was a year that everything wanted to spin up

This year is just the opposite, Beryl notwithstanding
