i measured from the NHC track the rough distance from the onshore H to the S. 12 hrs, roughly 188 miles. Average movement of 15.66ish mph.

I just watched Steve caparotta’s 10am update
https://www.facebook.com/video.php/?video_id=1241706183842555

Lots of good graphics if interested

Explains a lot.

One of the models is giving the worst of it to Nola and northshore

One Iberia parish but as a very very weak system

Then there’s one that takes it right over BR, so yeh they basically don’t know yet and he admits it, which i respect. lol

Dr Levi Cowan has his coming out in about 30 mins i think

Zeta was late October 2020 (year before Ida). it was cool after Zeta, so power being out wasn't a big deal.

I still think it's a good thing. Uncertainly and weaker is better then certainty and stronger.

Can someone help me out and link the best model that shows wind predictions? Just trying to get an idea of what we’re looking at in Abita. TIA

Right now, we're looking at 70%-80% chance of Tropical Storm (wind speed between 39 MPH and 73 MPH) winds. Big difference between 40 and 72 obviously.
