That's not spare gas. That's shite you use on a regular basis.

I think with the dry air and upper level shear we could be looking at that here too

So you want teachers, staff and admin to not have the same option to evacuate so your kid can get an extra day of school?

No, not really. I would never be an advocate in preventing evacuations. But, what I would want is to plan proactively early with a plan to go virtual. Should evacuations become more likely or recommended shift accordingly. If power loss becomes an issue, you change. Planning to have no options other than cancellations without alternatives in a parish roughly 1,0000 square miles when virtual will likely be an option for many is lazy.

Marco. It got to cat 1 strength but fizzled out as it approached the coast.

would you expect them not to close?

I was more surprised how long it took to announce the closures. LSU still hasn't announced anything.

How does doing virtual class alleviate the time needed to pack shite up and possibly leave town?

Good thing you're not in charge chief. Let me guess, to you, the backup QB is always the better? You've got zero clue what you're talking about about. Logistically, you make it sound like plugging in an Xbox.

Having a few gallons in your shed to power your mower and trimmer isn't what I consider emergency spare gasoline. Maybe you do though.

ETA: It is very nice though.

Virtual for elementary and middle schools is an absolute joke.
