Hey vermilion, Marche on 167 has gas if any of your people need. (Other places might as well but they just got refilled).

Thank you. It's tough being a first pager and having these idiots come in and say you don't know what you're talking about.

Is that a private met?

It's a subscription based weather service. Used by all the major players in the GOM to predict rig evacs and petrochemical plant ops.

I'm not a meteorologist and I don't even pretend to be one.

Yes, Mandeville is looking pretty good right now. Power loss (how long may depend on WST or Cleco) and storm surge from the lake will get the river high but keep an eye on the next couple updates. Keeping those reservations in Destin and tee times at Indian Bayou tho for the time being.

My wife are both tanked up

Last night there were lines of cars at Village Gas Station and they only had diesel

Imagine waiting in line not knowing they don’t have gas.

What's funny is that there's a ton of regulars like me that post in these threads long before anything significant is even happening. Just a bunch of weather geeks shitposting about the weather.

Then these no name posters invade the thread and demand seriousness from the people that keep the thread alive. They can go give themselves sandpaper and Tabasco hand jobs.

Weve reached the fear and self preservation phase of the hurricane thread where we start attacking each other and wishing it on others

The mourning/acceptance phase will come tomorrow morning when track is more locked in and we are 6-12 hours from landfall

People come in here pretending they don’t want a bad storm. It’s comical.

I mean maybe when I was young and didnt own property it was kinda exciting. After going several weeks without power and our neighborhood being destroyed during Gustav.....not so much.
