It’s not a forecast, just a decent idea of the possible ranges based on the GFS model. Basically they tweak the initial state a bit and then run the model to see where things end up. Entirely possible it ends up outside of that spread, but it’s a pretty decent approximation of the ranges of possible outcomes.

Oh I get it, waiting for the 10am update. I honestly don’t think it will much but it will continue move off to the east.

There’s 00000000000000000 water available and it’s just a cat 1 storm heading just west of Morgan city! Might as well be Covid in 2019 and no toilet paper!!!!

While true, the level of commitment is different.

I did not realize that the trolls woke up so early. I figured they were late risers.

This has to be the longest thread in TD history, right?

This never gets old nor does the posters reacting to it

Agree

Seriously though, it was the iPhone tethering thread several years ago that might have been the longest.

I seent it.

Not sure about OT history but definitely not TD history......see the Whiskey/Bourbon/Scotch thread on the Food/Drink board 1000+....and that is the 3rd time it has been restarted.

Yeah it’s going to pick up pace by noon and be moving pretty well.

Will it's speed help with fight off the shear or will we still have a weakening Hurricane at last approach?

I don't need toilet paper but do I need to boil water before I run it through my bidet?

#Francine is still a Tropical Storm this morning, but is expected to become a Hurricane today once it can get its act together. Still a Category 2 forecast around landfall, which is at the high-end of the intensity guidance, which a lot of the models could be held back by Francine’s current state. Hurricane Warning has been extended East to include Lafourche Parish, LA.
