Four people were robbed at gunpoint early Sunday in the French Quarter and Gentilly, New Orleans police said.

The first incident happened around 1:40 a.m. at St. Peter Street and Bourbon Street, the New Orleans Police Department said in a preliminary offense log. Two men, both 21 years old, were walking in the area when two other men approached them. The victims continued walking before the second suspect allegedly produced a semi-automatic handgun, threatened them and removed money from the pocket of one victim, police said.

The second incident happened about two hours later in the 4700 block of Marigny Street, police said. A 36-year-old woman and 45-year-old man had just pulled into a driveway when a dark-colored truck approached. The passenger of the truck exited and approached the driver’s side of the other vehicle with a handgun, police said.

The woman threw her purse at the suspects, and she and the man fled. When they returned, both the purse and the truck were gone

Pretty innaccurate thread title there. Did you even read the article? Or were you in too much of a rush to come start a thread?

If walking home after 1AM I believe going with the fricking your hair up and walking home screaming to yourself defense strategy works best.

People had dinner and drinks, and then arrived home without guns being in their face. Crazy, I know.
