I have read that there are still several bodies up there from years past and that they could not be recovered. Do you know anything about this?

The majority of people who have died on Everest are still there

I've never understood the fascination of climbing to a height where your body starts shutting down and dying. Call me old fashioned.

There is no way an accomplished alpha male like me could explain it to soft couch potato like you. The rush of mountaineering, the taste of wild yak,the discipline of physical training, the first time you have a digit or facial feature amputated after severe frostbite, the thrill of watching friends slowly freeze to death or fall thousands of feet to their death, the excitement of calling a widow to tell her she gets to raise the little fella alone, the two months of your life spent without eating properly, bathing or having sex. These are the things we Mountain legends live for. Pussy.

Green Boots is the name given to the unidentified corpse of a climber that became a landmark on the main Northwest ridge route of Mount Everest.[1] Though his identity has not been officially confirmed, he is believed to be Tsewang Paljor, an Indian climber who died on Mount Everest in 1996. The term Green Boots originated from the green mountaineering boots the body wore

I have a previous co-worker climbing Everest right now with her family member. Both are amateurs and are NOT pillars of health.

Hope the EverestNoFilter guys don't die

They were pissed about this. They said there was no reason anyone should have been trying to summit with the weather the past couple days. It's why they didn't start their summit until today.

One of the Everest No Filter guys just made a long post regarding this exact thing. They have been harping on the amateurs who pay the money to pretty much be carried to the top. He said there are numerous people who have never used crampons that are on the mountain.

Apparently, 4 of those guys died from carbon monoxide, they were cooking in their tent because of the weather.

Everest needs a zip line from the top down. Would solve so many obvious issues.

Who's going to fix it when the avalanches wipe it out? A herpa?

Sure their are bodies all over the mountain. There are places to fall that you can't really get to.

Once you either wander or fall off route you are pretty much their for eternity. Unless you are lucky or their is some brave soul willing to try to get to you.

A pipe wrench at the bottom should tighten it back up just fine.
