Outside of pulling a knife or gun on him, what could she possibly have done to deserve being hit, kicked and slammed like a rag doll? And even if she pulled a weapon, once the threat is neutralized, legally he's suppose to stop.
Edit: And FYI, based on the video it's obvious she did not have a weapon on her. And the gifs do not do full justice because he's about to walk out of the apartment after slamming her into the TV, then comes back and slams her into the bouncer.
