My mother hated EWE more than she hated anyone else that I’ve ever known of. She hated that he used his Cajun heritage and the Cajun French language only to appeal to the that part of the state and then robbed them blind for decades. The only campaign I know that she ever donated time or money to was J. Bennett Johnston when he ran against Edwards. Sadly, Edwards won that one too.

Good riddance. Millions of people have poorer lives because of that man.

I hope his family can find some peace.

Yes, we assume he did. And he will be leaving us with what I expect to be an entertaining succession proceeding. On the other hand, I will not otherwise speak ill of the deceased. RIP EWE.

Yep. Truly a piece of shite. The only one I feel sorry for is that he has a young son.

last week when he went in he said he was already planning his next birthday in 2022.

As a politician it must’ve been the only thing he ever lied about.

I wish my Grandma would have only made it 2 weeks
It’s not always that quick

Meh, his grandson was an entitled piece of shite in college. I enjoyed watching the bouncers choke him and making him apologize.

ETA and his entire family has profited off his criminal enterprise that stole from the residents of Louisiana and made this fricked up business environment where companies just skip over La for development. frick them all and may he rot in hell.

If I did anything wrong it was that I trusted the wrong people.

A long, mostly sad chapter is finally closed.

I’d say the only thing I respect about him was how good his last 2 wives looked but that was due to the millions he took from the people of Louisiana more than anything else.

No it isn't. Been there a few times now with immediate family members. 2 older sisters and my step dad. Pitfalls of getting older I guess. One sister was very fast. One was not. Step dad was in between time span.

It means you are no longer receiving treatment aimed at curing a disease. Could mean you go today or months or even years later. Each situation is different.

Hospice care focuses on the care, comfort, and quality of life of a person with a serious illness who is approaching the end of life.
