Best advice is to go to a used car lot and drive a 3 year old Expedition and a 3 year old Suburban. They'll both drive great brand new but, after 35-45k miles you'll get a feel for which one ages better.

Ford Expedition Max - solid and has the larger cargo area

Wife had an expedition and we had to get rid of it at 17k miles. Was in the shop constantly. Ford even opened a case on it. Never again!

The new Sequoia is puzzlingly mediocre, like the Tundra. Powertrain is unimpressive in real world situations, interior packaging is shaky, infotainment is nothing special, and they may have managed to screw up reliability too. No one expected such a poor effort from Toyota, but there it is.
WTH is this? Did you take this from a blog?! There’s nothing mediocre about it. My FIL’s new 1794 Tundra is an incredible vehicle & probably the nicest interior Ive seen in a truck. The new engine had teething issues but sounds like it’s worked out. This is laughable.

Had an expedition.
Cam phaser issues -
We brought it in at 65k miles. They diagnosed the issue, reprogrammed it, told us to drive it and see if it went away. Called for appointment 2 weeks later. They set the appointment for like 3 months down the road. During that 3 months, we went over the 70k mile warranty on the cam phasers. They tried to make us pay full price for it. I had to call ford, raise hell, and ultimately after ford told me to go screw, the owner of the dealership had to get involved and got it taken care of.
Wiper fluid -
The ford emblem has a wiper fluid squirter in it to clean the front camera. This is the low point of the washer fluid system. All washer fluid would end up on the ground the morning after you fill it. $25 part, costs over a grand to fix because they had to remove the entire front end of the car to get to it.
Radio -
Our touch screen quit working at about 80k. My wife ended up just plugging her phone in and playing music that way. They wanted 2500 to replace the whole head unit. Never did fix that one.
Coolant issues -
I started smelling coolant around 90k miles. Took it on and they found leaks on all four coolant hoses. 1300 to replace them. How do you get coolant leaks on 4 hoses all at the same time?
That car drove nice and had lots of amenities but it was a service nightmare.
The gmc’s are better cars, but not without issues. Those magnetic front shocks are like 3500 when they go out and they WILL go out.
Not big enough for you, but we went with Lexus and are very happy.

Infiniti also has the best customer service. Hands down.

Infinity is Nissan. Nissan is a big no.

You sure about this? I’m seeing dealers advertising thousands off of MSRP on their websites and 6 months ago this wasn’t the case. The longer you can wait the better I would think.

On the Wagoneer
There were really bad issues with the first batches with the more advanced4wd systems. The standard 2WD and 4wd didnt have them.
My wife has one, 2 years old, 45K miles and it’s been perfect. I wouldn’t get one with the advanced 4wd.
