I'm just curious what your reason for that is. No alterior motive, just curious. The 3.5 has more torque (500 vs 460) and a little less horsepower (400 vs. 420)

V6 turbo junk.

Get the suburban V8

ETA: the lifter issues are associated with cylinders shutting off, the suburban allows you to turn that feature off.

Had our 22 z71 suburban for 16 months, 0 issues. Had a 20 Tahoe before that for 2 years, 0 issues. Friend has the TRD Sequoia turbo V6, 3 months old, it's been in the shop for a month and they can't figure out what's wrong with it, some motor issue.

I own a 2021 Exedition 4x4 with off road package. Great road trip and off road SUV. We've driven off road in NC in the Smokies, Ozarks and the Rockies. It's also great cruising the highway too.

Suburban is the easy choice.

GM dominates the large SUV market for a reason.

The Telluride, Sequoia, etc. aren't really options if you've decided you need a MAX or Yukon XL/Suburban.

So you might as well just pick which of the three blows your skirt up. We have a Yukon XL and it's great so far.

Telluride

Bought one before we went to the Tahoe, I didn't mind it but it is not a full size SUV. It's midsize with a third row crammed in. Ride is good, it's like a couch on wheels. Not sport at all.

We have owned:
2015 Explorer
2015 Tahoe
2015 Murano
2020 telluride
2021 Tahoe
2022 suburban

The Chevy's have been the only ones that haven't been in the shop (telluride wasn't, just didn't fit for us)

Find the lowest mileage 2021 Sequoia that you can get your hands on.

Whatever you buy, make sure to get the ultimate off-road rig trim for the trips to Rouses.

Wife has a Navigator XL. It was a hell of a price gap between it and an Escalade when we bought it. It was a no brainer. It’s been a great vehicle.

Get the Suburban or Yukon XL. I’m on my 4th or 5th Suburban or XL. About 200,000 miles per vehicle. 2 of them never a day in the shop. Bought a 22 XL Denali with the Duramax Diesel and 4 wheel Drive last year. Absolutely the best one yet. The Duramax is so quiet you’d think it’s a gas engine. This isn’t even a close call. Fuel economy is 24-25 MPG. I can’t believe there is a better full size SUV anywhere.

My daughter has a 22 Ford Expedition. No competition.

My vote is Suburban or Yukon. Bonus points for the diesel model. GM dominates the segment and you can tell why. Great suspension, roomy interior, and can be equipped with very good towing and solid (for a full sized SUV) off road hardware if that’s what you want. They are popular for a reason.

Second place is Expedition. Most of their ecoboost issues and 10 speed auto problems should be worked out. Doesn’t ride anywhere near as good as the Suburban or Yukon. You will have some issues and Ford will have supply problems for replacement parts.

Distant third is the new Sequoia. Just a bad design all around. Bad ride. Tight third row. No cargo space. No capability off road. Latest turbo engine isn’t as reliable as Toyotas usually are. It’s rare that Toyota puts out a dud but this is one of them.

The basement is the Wagoneer. Questionable new I-6 turbo engine. Very slow selling. Resale is a question mark. Wouldn’t touch this without significant discounts. I would prefer a V8 model over the I-6 if I was set on getting a Wagoneer.

I would expect some minor infotainment glitches with every single one of them at least. Modern cars seem to just suck in that area.

Navigator was less than Escalade? I’ve been looking at both and they seem pretty comparable

Owned multiple Tahoes and Z71 pickups. All were complete garbage. The new transmissions are a joke, so prepare thy anus if you choose Chevy.

Have also owned Ford trucks and they were garbage as well. My suggestion to the OP would be Lexus or Grand Wagoneer.

If you want something everyone else has, buy Tahoe or Suburban.

If you want a better vehicle, buy something else.

Who makes something better than a Denali that's also big enough to go on a trip with the third row up?

I forgot to mention the ride quality. The air shocks on the Yukon Denali XL make it ride like a Mercedes S class. Maybe there is a reason why everybody seems to have one.
