Obama got a whole hell of a lot of shite for bailing out the auto industry. Now with the Republicans in charge, what will they do different during this crisis?
I'd say GM is fricked because they have not played as nicely with Trump as Ford has...

Maybe. The GM-built ventilators will be distributed in 2 weeks.
Ford won't have them ready until June. There may not be a need for so many by June, at least not in this country.

What the government ought to do is stop this stupid as moratorium on travel, ramp up production of ventilators and have those most at risk to self isolate.
That way industry doesn’t die, the economy doesn’t die, and we have the capacity and capability to care for those lost in danger.

I think this is going to happen at the end of April, and it should. At risk continue to remain isolated till we have both a solution and plan of treatment.
