If you’re truly tired of this shite, go get tested. Even if you aren’t Covid positive or showing symptoms, getting tested and reporting a negative result will drive positivity rate down.

People that are truly sick will get tested regardless. The government can control the positivity rate by changing recommendations/requirements for testing (e.g now they are saying only get tested if showing symptoms, which drives the positivity rate up).

Sounds like a great plan if the tests were 100% perfect but they aren’t & there are too many reports of sensitivity issues

Yeah but how many asymptomatic people will test positive by doing this?

Give blood. Many places are now testing for antibodies free of charge.

Covid testing itself is not that reliable. Antibody tests are.

Would’ve been much easier to nip it in the bud, but republicans that voted JBE are to thank for this.

The better solution is to not test at all. It's a cold for most people. Take off work, isolate, and don't go back until you are well.

We really let our government play us this time

This was my thinking, but I didn't want to wait in a line for testing. I heard some guy named Dave was doing the anal swab tests for COVID-19 in a motel room, so I got one of those.

Still haven't seen the results. Probably just a hold-up with the postal service.

At this point, if you think that any data is going to “force the government’s hand,” you haven’t been paying attention.

Why would I get tested, I'm not sick. Also, if you look how PCR tests are run, you wouldn't get one either. They run your test sample 40+ times to find a minuscule amount of virus, thus making it worthless. Here's a filthy NYT article explaining it. Basically, the majority of tests being ran are too sensitive and don't qualify for contact tracing

The “data” is what they say it is.

Antibody tests aren't as sexy as positive tests. That data will be buried.
