Also, I'd like to add that I'd never tell anyone IRL their business or my opinion on this.

It's none of my gotdamn bidness, but that's what internet forums are for.

When my ex became a crack whore and got pregnant by a crack head. I decided at that point it may have been a mistake

I'm 30 and I'd say a solid 60% of the ppl I know who married young are devorced or in terrible marriages

I'm nearly 30 and of the 10-12 couples that we're close with who are married, and married "young" none are divorced and only one has some issues that most wouldn't even describe as "terrible".

All of my buddies who got married in their early/mid 20s are still going strong. I couldn't ever see them separating

Wait until they hit 30.

There's a reason Caddilac Cafe stays in business.

don't think it's a generational thing, people change as they age. however the ability to see what others are doing via Facebook and Twitter was not available 30 years ago. I definitely think social media plays a role and people take on ideas as to what life could be like when looking at someone who seemingly has it all together... Some good, some bad.

Facebook has a huge impact. And most of the times its a false one.

Example...My wife's cousin had a kid a few months ago at 18 and all the dumb extended family members think she has her shite together based on FB. Reality is she doesn't even buy food for her daughter, has lived about 10 different places in 10 months, went to jail for three days, and has a new boyfriend or girlfriend weekly.

But she posts cute instagram pictures so all must be well.

Yup. I knew a chick who, on the same day she was caught at another man's house getting The dog shite plowed out of her, made a post on FB.
He had bought her a new car and they were both posting about how great each other was.

My wife said she knew on the honeymoon. Kept trying to make it work, finnaly realized he was a complete douchebag, and started thinking about best way to end it.

Here comes ksayetiger and it was a done deal. She was 25 at the time.

Wow. Not very classy of your wife to go through the whole wedding even at that stage. The honeymoon? Wow. How dumb is that?

If you wait too long to get married and have kids, the consequence is that your kids won't be getting out of college until you're in your 60's. Is that good or bad?

Depends on your personal health/quality of life. You can have a really active lifestyle, and live healthy at 60. The most prevalent type of 60 year olds that most of us know were probably vietnam vets, or lived in the 60s. Much different.

When she started working with a bunch of women in a doctors office who were all on their 2nd or 3rd marriages and told her she would be better off without me.

When her mother moved in with us. Sad part her mother moving in with us saved her marriage since her and my ex father in law were talking about divorce because of bills and money issues. You should have read the letter she wrote him.

Come to think of it mine left me a letter the day she moved, her mom wrote her dad a letter, and both marriages were rocky because of money and bills and fighting about them.
