A whole lot of dumb frick posts and posters in here

Thats all you hear, Zachary teachers teach the actual test. Shut up with that BS.

So what if more black people are moving to Zachary. Like a previous poster said, their parents are able to afford an upwards of a 200K home

It's just backwoods Silliman, Central Private, Central, and Livingston Parish jealousy.

Quite sad to see the hate

What a prejudiced metro area we have around Baton Rouge

I think you were the first to point this out.

Zachary having decent schools and somewhat controlled development will keep it a desirable place for families.

Wait so Zachary is now a shitthole because of an isolated incident of a kid bringing a gun to school? This could happen anywhere.

Yeah, just realize that it's just BR being BR, strikingly consistent with their NOLA Syndrome...

Zachary had good schools 30 years ago. It didn't just happen overnight when they went independent.

My FIL's dad was the principal at ZHS for 25+ years and was one of main figures in getting the ISD started up. You're right...what happened with Zachary's school system was a few decades in the making.

no you cant. I grew up in Zachary and i live in Central and both school districts come to your house to make sure you live in the district.

Yes, you can. I am in education. How can they check your house if you claim to be homeless? I don't know how long you can do it but it happens ALL the time.

Gerry Boudreaux? Great man and a fantastic educational leader. Ran a tight ship at the school when he was there.

Yep...Jerry was an awesome guy. He had rules and you had better follow them. He was tough on everyone(his own kids/grandkids included) from the stories I've been told over the years.
