- Was he in good mind when he passed-
At 97 he still played a hell of a game of chess. He was honored by the DDay Musuem for his war medals. He won a national collegiate boxing championship at USL before the war. He graduated from Tulane and he sent his sons to LSU. He was a big LSU fan. He passed on January 4 a year ago

He grew up in the time when every man smoked and he never stopped, by the time they diagnosed cancer it was all over his body so they didn't really pin point it but figured it started as lung cancer.

I am 58 and lost my Dad December 17. He was 88.
Dad was my very best friend and I was so blessed to have him as long as I did.

34. Buried him with 2 cartons of Salem Regulars just like he joked about for years. Seemed fitting because they had a lot to do with him passing so early.

I was 4. Car crash. Luckily my mom raised me and my brother to be decent folks. Its still weird when i think about having a dad at one point. It just never crosses my mind.
