for those of you responsible for creating work schedules

for hourly employees, particularly in a 24/7 business where staffing is required, which software platform do you recommend?
Right now, it's a manual process with Excel, and if there is a pre-planned absence or not, getting messaging out to a list of employees is difficult at best with our current system limitations.
I am looking for an online scheduler that is web-based, can send out notifications if a shift becomes vacant, and gives the department leader the ability to approve/deny OT to another person picking up the shift -- if this person is near or at OT already, instead of keeping it "wide open."
Does something like this exist?

I was just thinking about you yesterday. (No homo)
Was watching a video about truck prices. You guy an updated guide for buying a used or previous year(s) model truck?

Do you at least have soft hands and smell good?

Inventory at most dealerships is almost back to "normal."
Really depends on what you want, and when you want it. Is it a "need" -- urgency for you --- or a want? If a want, patience will be your friend. If it is a "need" you will lose any potential leverage.
Also, if you can, shop the bigger markets, specifically in Texas. Texas, historically, has much better pricing than Louisiana, and it's usually worth the drive (or flight).

100% want/0% need
Texas would be quite a drive.

What's your headcount?
About 100 employees, hourly.
Leadership is salaried, and don't have to punch in/out.

Flights into Texas are usually inexpensive, especially to Houston or Dallas. It may be something that you consider if you can find a deal to your liking.
You'll need to compare your local market to pricing in Texas (as an example) to determine if you should consider this option. Try, if you are shopping for used vehicles, keep it as apples to apples as you can with the type of vehicle you are interested in. Otherwise, you won't truly be able to compare.
If it is a new truck, it is much easier to comparison shop online, before you have any serious discussions with a sales person.

Our company uses ADP. It's got a lot of features, not sure if it has the ones you need specifically

I've used ADP, Paychex, and Netchex, and while all of them have an online scheduler, that isn't what they excel at. It's mostly an afterthought and is very cumbersome to use.
Plus it doesn't offer any communication ability to communicate with our associates of a vacant shift.
I appreciate your suggestion though.

The website appears to be no longer.

The website is active but appears to be intentionally vague or too robust for my needs.

Load schedule into the when I work app. Have them all download it. They can request shift changes, communicate with the whole team and see real time changes.

Check out HotSchedules. It has everything you mentioned.

Many healthcare places I’ve worked have done self scheduling? Some worked some failed. Have u already tried that?
It’s done with the understanding that if holes are left consistently you can always step in and move people. For us it’s always weekends. Everybody wants to work Tuesday Wednesday Thursday big gaps Saturday Sunday.
If these are sales jobs then it may be the opposite with the weekends being prime shifts?
