Optimal to me is allowing our local economies not to go to shite while still not making a conscious notation of gas prices.
Optimal to Scruffy is paying market prices. If there is a surplus of oil, the price should be low.

Every $ I've saved at the pump has pretty much come out of my foray into MHR, MRO, etc.

While true, I am not buying these houses. Just making money off of peoples misfortune. I am basically a parasite but IDGAF.

In all seriousness, if I didn't do what I do for the banks then someone else would.

It's not so much as me rooting for gas to go up, as much as I'm rooting against the dickstains that cheer when people are losing their jobs. There have been plenty of them in these threads.

Edit: See Poncho's post below. He's a dickstain.

I know.

If I was still employed in the oil patch, I'd be planning my exit strategy.

Why hang around and wait to get laid off when you know it's coming? Not a matter of if, but when.

Good now I'll take Baw's house, too.

Don't try and make me feel sorry for those rednecks who flaunted their jacked-up trucks and GF's fake tits all those years without even graduating high school while I was doing it by the book and putting my time in through 8 years of school.

Cheap Gas. Cheap Ford Raptors. Cheap Ex-Girlfriends. Now Cheap Houses.

I'll take it.

That's great. I'd like full employment for all and for everyone to have a nice middle class income too. That's not the way the world works. Supply and demand affects the oil and gas industry too.

So you're OK with $2.39/gallon then.

Great deals to be had on houses, and cheaper gas.

I'm gonna get my house built dirt cheap toward the end of this year when all the builders are sitting around with nothing to do

Obviously.

I don't think I ever argued against supply and demand. Just saying it sucks for a lot of people whenever it swings either way to the extremes.
