For the no expectation of privacy in public crowd: Mandatory trackers on all cars?

Since many of us are against Flock cameras, and some here support them.
How about a compromise? Remove all the cameras but require mandatory tracking devices that must be activated before your car or truck will start. Since the government has a right to know where you are while in public (apparently). A mapping system could determine when you are on public areas.
Think of how much easier it would make things for police!

You say this as if almost every car built in the past 4 years or so doesn’t have tracking functionality.
I promise you even if you don’t get the packages to activate it, they use it to repo shite

That is very different than a stationary camera that also has other uses.

They have these RFID scanners at almost every intersection and along all the major highways where I live that can read your driver's license (if Real ID) and even your bank cards. It's the same tech that is used when reading your toll road pass and tap to pay machines, except they are everywhere.
Therefore no matter what you're already being tracked everywhere regardless of the flock sitch unless you only carry cash and no ID.

How about we just shove your imaginary tracker up your arse and you can frick right off with that and all the cameras?
That sounds like a much better compromise to me.

How about this compromise - I will mount a Flock camera to the front of my car and just drive around whatever neighborhoods cops want me to go visit. They just need to pay me mileage plus a little extra for my troubles.
Now that I think about it … if Flock made dash cams, I might prefer to get one over those other models that don’t read license plates.

For those opposed to the red light cameras let me tell you a good reason for them. I dropped my wallet in the Brookshire’s parking lot. The security footage showed a low life stealing it and driving off. The detective said the License Plate Readers (LPRs) were not on, but had they been we could have either figured out who she was immediately or at least followed her direction.
My situation was just a wallet, but what if somebody had snatched up a kid or any other good reason to find someone instead of them getting away.
