I can understand mistakes, but I've seen this too. I just have to wonder what type of person can destroy two families and not feel...anything.

Yes. For the same reasons. It wasn't/isn't my fault, but it doesn't make it less painful for the kids.

Plus, if I changed a little here and there who knows how things would have gone?

Ephesians 5:25 is what I really reflect on about how I should have been different.

Some people pick it up with their ex and try again. That's how life is sometimes.

Well, according to her nothing was her fault. Nothing. Five months or so after the divorce, she still hasn't said anything.

However, the other guy's wife and I have become friends and she told my ex that she would rip her face off if she ever saw her.

It's never the woman's fault.

Most times people are unable to swallow their pride and don't bend over petty shite, thinking the grass is greener elsewhere. But when you find someone that accepts your faults, you can let out a loud burp/fart around, and generally understands the nature of you - those little grievances mean jack shite. A marriage is part companionship, part psychologist, part business partner, part adversary, and part lover. You should always demand respect, but never be domineering or take more than you give when you can help it. At times you have to, but make up for it as soon as you can.

Nope. For a few years after I got divorced I wondered about it, but finally saw the light after a while. Our relationship was fricked in the root, I was just too young and blind to see it. It would have happened eventually, I'm glad it was after only a few years, and not spending half a lifetime and my productive years to give to her.

why do this to yourself??

I mean I understand the situation is messed up for the kids, but damn man, there are ways to make that easier without dragging your emotions and soul through shite water again
