That’s what I thought but I didn’t know that portion of the family at all so I guess my firm didn’t care. I did disclose it though

Well past time for some major antitrust legislation
Small farms have dropped from ~50% of meat production to ~20% of meat production over the past 30 years. Government regulations make it tough for the little guy. Literal fascism.

Leftist covering up for progressive government.

The little man is such a dweeb.
Gas prices don’t help. Also we are shorting our own supply on certain things because of the continued war in Ukraine. We actually farm less now, want us to cut our meat production, pushing expensive evs on auto manufacturers then onto the public.
Of course he’s going to not blame it on democrat policy. He’s a democrat.

Russia is experiencing inflation. So is virtually every other country.
But yeah, ignorantly blame everything on your boogie man.

What isn’t accounted for there is the cost of labor. Do the research on that. I’ll help, it has gone up. A lot.

common practice to have bull shite like this on bills: -livable wage fee (10%) -employee health insurance fee (5%) It drives the frick out of me.
Yea it’s shitty for companies to try to turn you against your neighbors and never “executive bonuses (14%)”

Food costs have only just started to rise. Wait until the full effect of Russia-Ukraine war , Russian sanctions hit the consumer. Global wheat production has taken a huge hit.
Wheat prices today are below where they were in October 2020.

Democratic lawmakers Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Rep. Katie Porter called out Cal-Maine and other major egg producers for more transparency into their profitability. “American families working to put food on the table deserve to know whether the increased prices they are paying for eggs represent a legitimate response to reduced supply or out-of-control corporate greed,” they wrote in a letter in February.
Sorry but I’m not listening to these people.

What? In what world are labor costs excluded from Net Income? They are killing it, even with the increased labor costs.
Posted on 8/16/23 at 8:02 pm to dgnx6
They are just mad they didn’t get the increase to their “donations”.

Companies should be able to charge whatever the frick they want for their product. If it’s too expensive people won’t buy it or they’ll buy it from someone else. God I can’t stand these people.

Dunno about eggs, but again, there's 4 companies controlling ~80% of the meat industry, and they're absolutely fixing prices. The fedgov makes it difficult for competition to enter the market and compete. It's all bullshite.

But have you seen chicken wing prices come down in restaurants? They are killin it charging us almost $2/wing in some places these days.
They should start coming down soon at restaurants. They usually lag behind on price decreases.

Well, we first have to suspend disbelief to think any company increased net profits over 700% in one year simply by raising prices. However, I consider the source. My comment was really directed at the fact that prices are higher. Prices have gone up in large part because of labor costs.

SNAP is a huge reason as well. The CARES Act is the gift that keeps on giving
