My favorite rock band name out there now; “We were promised jetpacks”.

At this point, give me the drone and my chances if it means I never have to deal with Houston again.
This is a fair point!

The company is JOBY if you want to invest. Soon you’ll be able to take an air taxi over the river instead of bridge traffic. I’m all for it.

Everyone was supposed to driving them with atomic power by 1960

And I'm sure they'll extensively test it before putting a live human in it.

I have serious doubts that we'll ever see much by way of "flying cars" simply because flying is faaaaaaaaaaaar different than driving. Anyone who has ever made the very first introductory flight in a Cessna 152 on the way to getting a private pilot license learned that very first time that flying is nothing like driving.
I just don't see this ever becoming a common sight when one considers how bad drivers are with all four wheels on pavement.

I hear ya, but didn't Elon tease this on a Joe Rogan podcast? He could probably get this product to market

Joby and archer if US.. have gotten pretty far with govt and faa clearance
There are others in Germany and China..
Joby and archer have links to major airlines, military ( palinter).. uber ( taxi)… they are not really taxis .. you take an uber to a evtol port to get around the city and the evtol port to get access to the airport ( thus the links to the airline companies). Palintar and military are obvious ( drones also)…

Can I put it on a 15 year note?

Right now, it doesn't seem possible to train and retain enough Air Traffic Controllers.
Lets add a hundred of these flying cars above each spoke in the Houston road layout and more above the loop roads. Now ask the ATCs to monitor and handle all the cars in the air.
What could possibly go wrong?

Flying cars could be flying over Interstate 4 in 2026
They'll still get stuck in traffic by Disney

How long has the government been working on zero point energy?

I think it was about 2 weeks ago when Elon Musk mentioned on Joe Rogen that he hopes to Introduce his version of a flying car Jan 1, 2026.
If the JetsonOne had a battery that would give you 6-8 hours instead of 20 minutes, I would be all over it for 100K in a heartbeat. It's basically a personal drone.
