E. Coerced into getting it once. Never again. (And it was the only year I’ve ever had the flu.)

The two times I got the flu vaccine I later got the flu. It's a pretty ridiculous vaccine to me. I won't get another one.

They run the models and do their best to try and predict which strains will be most prevalent that year. Sometimes they’re right, sometimes they’re wrong. If you’re a fat, beer swilling diabetic frick wheezing around and shoveling fast food down your gullet all day then get your flu shot. Any chance it helps is better than none. Anyone that’s healthy and is actually active, it’s still at least worth considering.

Don't have strong feelings about it one way or the other. I used to get it annually when I was in my 20s to early 30s because I had an employer that would have a clinic come to the office and provide. Then I stopped getting it until we started having kids. Would get it every year then as a way to help protect them as much as possible. On the fence this year as my youngest is now 2.
1 kid has gotten the flu shot every year, 1 kid has gotten the flu shot once, #3 has never gotten it due to age and reaction (not allergy) to eggs

Big Pharma must be losing money to have their doctors and pharmacists constantly asking me if I want one.
NO.
After the crap you people pulled during the Plandemic y'all can go to hell with your "flu shot".

Got it 2 times. Both times had the flu. Haven't gotten a shot in over 20 years now and haven't had the flu in those 20 years.

I've never personally gotten one and probably never will unless I become old and at risk

I never got the flu shot until after the first time I actually had the flu in my late 30s. Now I get it every year. My doctors asked when I see him in the late fall, early winter.
The Flu shot has been around for a long time and is very effective with few risks (if you have an egg allergy, that used to be a concern, not sure now). The only caveat is the time it takes to manufacture the vaccines, 6 months, so they may get the variants wrong when making them. Most years they are pretty close, though.

C Have never had the flu shot nor ever had the flu, but thats just me. The wife has to, working in the medical field and kids usually get it.
There are so many different strains of flu its a craps shoot anyway.

I just got my flu shot yesterday. I asked the doc about the effectiveness and he said last years flu shot was very effective. The only flu patients he saw were people who were not vaccinated.
Last year Flu A was very bad. Didn’t matter if you were vaccinated or not. Had a couple people in my ICU die from it.
I caught it, thought I was going to die.

I think I've gotten one flu shot and that's because my company brought a crew to the office for everyone

E: Took the shot for a few years (2012-2015) but never again

It's not odd at all, if you just think about it. Covid caused almost everyone to start take precautions by washing their hands, social distancing, not touching surfaces and, yes, mask wearing. Businesses and schools were closed and people were hyper- aware of avoiding spreading germs.
This explanation is the most logical.

Get it every year but only because my wife reminds me.
Posted on 9/23/25 at 3:41 pm to East Coast Band
My answer is "C". It's been at least 30 or more years since I last had the flu and see no point in getting a shot. My wife and stepdaughter get it every year and wind up with flu-like symptoms following the jab, so what's the point.

Check the max dose of vitamin D. Safe upper limit is 4000 IU per day.
Per Drugs.com, "Taking too much vitamin D can cause toxicity, leading to high calcium levels (hypercalcemia). This may result in kidney stones, irregular heartbeat, and other health complications.
Toxicity symptoms include:
Nausea and vomiting
Weakness and fatigue
Frequent urination
Thirst
Confusion
Dehydration"
You might want to take it easy on the D.
