Flown in from Australia and need a carpool

My girlfriend and I have flown into town from Australia and decided to head to an LSU game. We booked game tickets for the Auburn game months ago and a return ticket to Baton Rouge on a greyhound on the day, very excited.
The start time for the game wasn't listed when we got the greyhound tickets, but my limited understanding of college games was that the games were in the afternoon - so we booked a greyhound back to NOLA at 7.50 pm.
We've just realised the game won't finish until 10.30 ish pm. All of the bus services that would help (like Baton Rouge Blitz) are sold out. Weve been searching desperately for a way to get back to NOLA after the game, is there a carpool service or any other site that has a good resource we can use?
Short of that .... is anyone heading to the game and wants to carpool? We are desperate here and are more than happy to pay for gas/beer (if LSU fans are anything like Aussies, beer is an official currency).
Please help!

Crikey! Calling all LSU fans from NOLA. Help this couple enjoy their stay here and give them a ride back to New Orleans!

Why not just get a rental car?

Light rail would help here

I would ditch Greyhound for sure. The transportation here is not like it is Europe, unfortunately. I'd rent a car.

Good luck convincing people around here it’s retarded building public transit that is that expensive, in a low population irrelevant area of the country.
But for OP, definitely rent a car or get an Uber if you can’t find a ride. You don’t want to ride a bus around here.

As many have said ditch the bus and rent a car. Much safer and more convenient.
