My son is 12 and looks a decade younger than these two. No way that is a 14 year old.

How can this happen when you have to be 18 in Florida to possess a handgun? Clearly this could have been avoided if these two "youts" had known the law.

Early maturation is a response to trauma and being in a traumatic environment - ie they had to mature earlier as a survival response so they do look older than your and hopefull most of our kids for their age
