"The Florida Senate Education Committee passed a controversial bill on Tuesday that would bar school districts from encouraging classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity. The Parental Rights in Education bill, commonly referred to the "Don't Say Gay" bill by its critics, would apply to such topics in primary grade levels, as well as in cases where the discussions are deemed "not age-appropriate.""

Our children can't read and write properly, but at least they know that some individuals have different sexual orientations.

Baw, the OT/PT all agree learning and a good raising begins in the home. With good parents. No need to legislate this. Unless you enjoy Big Gov.

Sad that laws are necessary to keep progs from grooming and perverting minor children.

It’s absolutely sickening that people would plant ideas in kids heads that they were born wrong.

What happens when teachers take it upon themselves to tell kids they are a different gender and assign them different names? You don’t think we need to protect kids WHILE they’re outside the home and parents can’t control what they’re being taught?

Teachers were suggesting to early elementary that they were trans, and it was OK. This is brainwashing, grooming, and recruiting and should be illegal.

They should teach these kids to read, and if they want to influence them, point them to STEM.

I have no problem with this. Primary school children have no business discussing homosexuality and anybody who disagrees with that can personally meet me at their local Sonic.

Don't know about you, but a good upbringing and advice from trusted parents always superceded a rando trying to change my name or gender. If common sense can't be taught from parent to child, well, Gay talk isn't the biggest issue.

I have no problem with it. It seems the US's chief export is homosexuality. Glad somebody is stepping up for our children.

It’s not just a rando, these kids spend a lot of time around teachers and look to them for guidance, especially true in younger age ranges.

This is exactly what we need. Let kids be kids.. When I was in elementary school there was a boy in our class who would play hopscotch with the girls everyday instead of playing football with the rest of us. We didn't really know why, and it didn't matter. We figured it out in our teens which is how it should be..
